SOUTH-EASTERN EUROPE YOUTH AT THE TELESCOPE (SEE Youth at the Telescope) Belogradchik Observatory, Institute of Astronomy, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, July 4th - 11th, 2003, Belogradchik, Bulgaria, E-mail: SEEYou@astro.bas.bg It is the second Astronomy Summer School for young people from South-Eastern Europe (SEE) to be hosted by Belogradchik Observatory (Bulgaria) - this year in the period July 4th - 10th, 2003. The topic of the school is Astronomy with Small Telescopes (AST). The school offers lectures, seminars, poster session and a competition of scientific project proposals, whose winners will observe with the 60 cm Cassegrain telescope during the school. Additional participants are welcome if they can take the expenses of student hostel (about 5 Euro) located in the town of Belogradchik. The transport of the participants from Sofia or near border check-points to the Observatory will be supplied. The dead line for registration is April 15th , 2003. =========================================== PROJECTS COMPETITION FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN SOUTH-EASTERN EUROPE SOUTH-EASTERN EUROPE YOUTH AT THE TELESCOPE (SEE You at the Telescope) All young people interested in astronomy are welcome to participate in this competition. The competition is directed to a preparation (as seriously as possible) of observational research projects in Astronomy with Small Telescopes. Projects can be prepared by groups of up to three persons and submitted in English (less than 5 A4 pages in any text processor) and have to contain the following data: 1. Title of the project. Observational time will be granted to the best projects to be realized at the Belogradchik Observatory during the school depending on meteorological conditions. Staff astronomer help will be supplied. The joint (bilateral or multilateral cooperation) projects will have advantage.
