*2000 June 24.13 UT: m1=8.2, Dia.=3', DC=6, ... 20cm L f/10 (70x)... Toni Scarmato,Calabria Italy, [comet at 30degrees high in horizon, in Ligth Pollution, I have used the star SAO 55514 m1~7.5 for comparison. The comet show a tail long 5'. The magnitude is valued with the defocusing method intra and extra focus and correct]

2000 June 25.34 UT: m1=9.0:, Dia.=2', DC=5/...25cm L f/4 (46x)....Brian Adams (Zumbrota, MN)[obs. was made several minutes into ast. twilight and in bright moonlight ; comp. stars were all <0.5 deg from comet, so no extinction corrections were made; mag. est. may have been affected by star TYC2835-01912-1(V=10.52), which was in the outer coma of the comet at the start of the observation]

2000 Jun 26.06 UT: m1=8.6, Dia=3', DC=4, Tail= 5' in PA 270...20x125 Vixen binocular...Giorgio Dalla Via (Schiaparelli Observatory, Campo dei Fiori Mount, Varese - Italy). [observation was made with comet 15 degrees above horizon, in moonlight and after the beginning of astronomical twilight]

2000 June 26.37 U.T: m1=9.5, Dia.=5', DC=3, Tail: 8' in PA 270...22.5 cm. F5 L 43X....Bill Wells (Lincoln, NE., USA) [Magnitude est.: out-out method using TYC-2835-01539-1 (V=9.7) which was right next to the comet. Tail appears to be fan shaped so PA isn't very precise. I have not done this sort of thing before, so consider the source.]

2000 June 27.52 UT: m1=8.7, Dia.=2', DC=7, Tail 5' in PA 250 ... 20cm L (70x) ...Mike Linnolt (Dole Plantation, Oahu, HI) [Comet altitude 12° with variable clouds. Very condensed central coma with faint outer coma to 2'. Bright inner tail/coma boundary difficult to separate, so m1 estimate may include some tail as well. Modified out method used with comparisons SAO 38046 & 38048]

Nicolas Biver (Honolulu, Oahu, HI) [m1=8.8 in 5.0cm L (10x); in 25.6cm L (169x), starlike nucleus at m=11.8] [My very last telescopic observation from Hawaii - the telescope is already on its way back to France]

2000 June 29.802 UT: m1=8.3, Dia.=3', DC=6, Tail 20' ... 10cm L (32x) ...Terry Lovejoy (Thornlands, QLD, Australia) [Comet altitude approx. 10 deg. with some light pollution - observing from 27 deg. 40' South . There is a starlike central condensation and tail is quite evident.]

2000.July.02.01 UT, m1=8.9 , Dia: 3.5', DC: 6 , Tail : 6' in P.A. 270 degs....15 cm L ( 48x)...Miladinovic Dragan (Novi Sad, Yugoslavia) [Observation was done under the moderate light-polluted skies at nort-east, east, and south-east . My observing place were in the western suburb of Novi Sad, where I live. Magnitude estimate: comparisions with SAO 38201 & SAO 38203]

2000 July 5.42 UT: m1=8.0, Dia.=2', DC=7, Tail: 11' in PA 270 deg... 10cm R f/10 (80x)... Ed Salmon (East Canyon, UT)... [Faint star appeared within coma, making m1 estimate somewhat uncertain; definitely more condensed than last week; definitely visible now in 7x42 B]
