INFORMATION LETTER  ON BALKAN ASTRONOMY

Dear collegues,

This issue of our newsletter contains announcements for several forthcoming scientific meetings in various branches of astronomy and physics.

THE SERBIAN-BULGARIAN ASTRONOMY CONFERENCE

The fourth meeting in this series is to be held in Belgrade on April 21-24 2004. It is being organized by the Astronomical Observatory in Belgrade and the Astronomical Society Rudjer Boskovic. According to the latest news dating from the second week of March, preparations are well underway, but the "financial construction" is not completely "closed". It is hoped that the present problems will be solved.

THE MANEV CONFERENCE

A scientific meeting in honour of the late Bulgarian physicist Prof.Georgi Ivanov Manev is being prepared in Sofia for later this year. A MEETING ON GRAVITATION ASTROPHYSICS AND STRINGS - GAS 04

A conference on gravitation astrophysics and strings will be organized next June by colegues from Sofia University. The announcement has been received just a couple of days ago, and it is reproduced "as is" below.
